Ray “CantGetRight” Sorrell, a well sought-after Christian comedian and motivational speaker. Born and raised in San Antonio, Tx; Ray has been in front of the crowds his whole life. He has been doing stand up comedy for over 15 years and has been a preacher/pastor for over 20 years. In 2009, he was presented the President Barack Obama “Volunteer of the Year,” award from the Texas Youth Commission for his tireless work with teenagers in poverty-stricken neighborhoods. In 2016, he wrote his first published book, Under Construction, “7 Things You Should Know to Build a Better You.” He has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Family Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University. Ray also has a Masters degree in Christian Ministry from Wayland Baptist University. In 2018 he took his talents to the stage in the musical stage play “Don’t Trip, It’s the 80’s.” In 2019, CantGetRight was also blessed to perform on Tom Joyner’s Fantastic Voyage for their 20th anniversary where they were raising money to keep kids in HBCU colleges around the country. Ray has toured this great nation doing comedy and preaching the Gospel using his unique style of comedy to teach people by making them laugh. In his latest venture, Ray recorded a live show where he cut hair, did standup comedy, and preached an encouraging word from God at the same time. His love for people is unmatched only by his love for God. He also does free shows annually for the Haven For Hope homeless shelter in San Antonio, Tx. Ray has recently moved to the DFW area in Texas and looks forward to making people smile in his own unique way. He lives by the motto, “The only time that you should look down on a person is when you are helping them up.
