About the Hosts

Country Crossroads hosted Casey Gibbs

Born in Fort Worth and raised in Azle,  TX., Casey Gibbs has always had a love of country music. Growing up, his grandfather performed in a local country music band for senior citizens dances and nursing homes. Hid grandad would ask him to go with him and “perform” and this lead him to grow and  love country music even more.

“Ronnie Milsap, was my favorite artist growing up” Gibbs said. “Every time my family and I would go out to eat, I would have to play the jukebox”. “I would play Ronnie (Milsap) and that’s actually how I started learning to read. I would memorize where Ronnie’s songs were on the jukebox, study the word and start matching those words with different labels”

When he was in his teens, his family opened a video store and rented the VHS videos of music video compilations and concerts. That led to an avenue of connecting with record labels and their marketing teams and opened the door to go to concerts and meet several artists over time. Something he still loves to do to this day.

“In 2008, a friend asked me what I wanted to do as a career and all I knew is it would involve music”. That conversation led to opening his own company and promoting and producing concerts in the Dallas / Fort Worth metroplex. Over the years, Casey has worked with George Jones, Charley Pride, Neal McCoy, Shenandoah, Suzy Bogguss, Charlie Daniels and Ricky Skaggs to name a few.

“Over time people have suggested I do a podcast and I never really thought much about it until recently” Gibbs said. “The opportunity was presented to join with Fishbowl Radio Network and I couldn’t be more excited to get out of my comfort zone and see where this leads. Being able to talk to different artists every week and allow listeners the opportunity to get to know them a little better, is my goal.”

Casey, is a member of The Academy Of Country Music (ACM), Country Music Association (CMA) and Texas Country Music Association (TCMA) among other organizations.

He resides in Azle,  where he is heavily involved with his church every Sunday and serves as his Sunday School secretary and Usher. In his free-time he enjoys spending time with friends, reading and traveling.
