Hailing from Oak Cliff, TX, Jamaal grew up one of four kids and the son of a preaching man (Son of a Preacher Man by Aretha Franklin).
After graduating from THE David W. Carter High School in “9T7”, Jamaal began his career in Criminal Justice in 1998 at a large department in DFW. Jamaal has served in multiple capacities in two different large departments, while simultaneously pursuing his BA in Criminal Justice. RJ brings a wealth of experience and first-hand knowledge to often complex and volatile criminal and social justice conversations.
Jamaal is also a father and entrepreneur. He has been married and divorced so his dynamic, introspective, and non-religious view on relationships, will ensure the conversations are always raw, and authentic.
