John Salerno, our host, a retired NYC Detective turned Comedian (aka- The Comedy Cop) growing up in Long Island, he has spent most of his life as a First Responder working as a Fire Fighter/EMT and retiring from the NYC Police Department as a Detective. Working the rough streets of Brooklyn, John has seen his fair share of how bad things can get. But he has also seen and recognized the good. Since he was suffering from PTSD, he decided not to allow his condition to stop him from making a difference in others lives. We are overloaded with bad news; it is time to hear about the GOOD things!
Magen King, our co-host, grew up in Kansas City, MO. She is a mother of 3 children and now living in Texas. Mage juggles her time between family, comedy, and a full time national sales career. Magen grew up listening to her father’s comedy records- George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Bill Cosby, and Cheech and Chong which then lead into her passion for making people laugh. “Hearing an audience laugh is addictive, especially when I created the laughter- it is the apex of the human experience.” Meeting John has led her into more humanitarian work and she is so thankful for him and the opportunity with Making a Difference Radio!
