Aliah M. Henry, an accomplished executive in the nonprofit sector, serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Dallas Furniture Bank in Dallas, TX. We will offer creative ideas to help the community and feature businesses that have a passion for giving back to nonprofit organizations.Aliah’s passions are advocacy affecting homeless families, literacy, women and children. She was awarded the CBS DFW Texans with Character honor in 2014 for her work with Dallas Furniture Bank. She is an active volunteer in the community and currently serves on the Advisory Board for Per Scholas, she has served as a board member for Literacy Instruction for Texas, Bryan’s House and The Nonprofit CEO Council. She is member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. Aliah is currently working on her first children’s book series and resides in Grand Prairie, Texas, with her husband, Anthony, and son, Anthony Jr.
